Question: You said: “If you eat of the tree of good and evil you will surely die.” Why does sin cause us to die?

God’s answer:

Sin defeats your purpose

Meaning: It’s like anything in this world, when something becomes useless it ceases to exist after a certain time. The more we sin, the more disconnected we become from God, who is our life.

We are an I am… This is who we are, what we are. This is our purpose. When there is nothing left in us that is God (the I AM), we die, for we no longer are.

Question: Why did Adam and Eve fall? Why did they go against Your word?

God’s answer:

She wanted to take command.
He thought she could do no wrong.

You listen to Me alone.

Description: Adam and Eve are having a conversation. Adam is sitting on a leaf, holding a spade, looking up at Eve. On Adam’s hat is written the word Adam. Eve is shown standing, holding a shovel. On the shovel is her name EVE. She is wearing earphones, with the word INSOLENCE written.
